Doorstep Waste Collection

The Process

Residents at traditional apartment communities, assisted living, or student housing facilities set their waste outside the door. The most typical time for a doorstep waste collection service to begin is at 8:00 PM. Therefore, tenants need to set their trash and recycling outside their door of the apartment before then.

To eliminate the problem of having waste bins in the breezeways for leasing times, the bins shall not be placed out before 6:00 PM. The bins are provided by A1 Valet Trash and are also labeled. However, some communities elect to have the waste bench style benchs. These style containers do stay outside 24 / 7. These are typically larger bins that can hold up to two bags of trash or recycling. 

Residents are not to toss out anything in the trash that would be against EPA standards. Hazardous materials such as motor oil, car batteries or paint need to be disposed of properly and in accordance to local law.

Additionally A1 Valet Trash does provide bulk item junk removal on an as needed basis. We are able to take all debris to a proper landfill.

In addition to providing bulk removal we also provide valet laundry and dry cleaning. Residents call for pick up and delivery.
